Statement from The Business Council on the Senate Republican Report on Tax Reform

ALBANY—“We applaud Senator Skelos and his conference members for developing this aggressive package of tax reforms, and for including business and other taxpayer ideas. The Senate Republican reform recommendations also reflect a number of tax reform priorities identified by Business Council members.

These recommendations build on, and will help make permanent, New York's recent success at controlling spending, which will make New York a more attractive state for investors and businesses alike. Coupled with ongoing efforts by the Governor's tax commissions, they add to tax reform momentum building for 2014.”

-Ken Pokalsky, vice president of government affairs for The Business Council of New York State, Inc.
