ALBANY—The Business Council of New York State, Inc. will host its 2008 Annual Industry-Environment Conference, October 15-17, at the Saratoga Hilton, Saratoga Springs, NY.

Focusing on critical state regulatory issues, compliance strategies and strategic planning, this two-day conference will bring close to 300 experts from both the private and public sectors together to interact and share the latest information on the clean technology industry from industry experts and key officials of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC).

Participants will have the opportunity to hear from and meet the experts who write and implement environmental laws and regulations, including the latest information on air quality and hazardous waste permitting policies.

The keynote speaker will be Ashok Gupta, Air & Energy Program Director for the Natural Resources Defense Council. Mr. Gupta will sit down with Business Council president and CEO Kenneth Adams to discuss business solutions in a changing energy climate.

Other highlights will include presentations from Judith Enck, Deputy Secretary to the Governor for the Environment and Douglas Crawford, Vice President of O’Brien & Gere, who will discuss sustainable remediation, from conception through Implementation.

Additional sessions will include presentations on: air, water and solid waste programs, greenhouse gases and global warming, and redevelopment of Brownfield sites.
