The Chamber Alliance of New York State (CANYS) will sponsor its annual "New York Day in Washington" May 9-10 in Washington, D.C.

Senators Hilary Clinton and Charles Schumer have been invited to speak at the event’s May 10 legislator’s breakfast.

Participants will have an opportunity to hear briefings on key federal issues and to meet and members of Congress and their key staff members.

The agenda includes:

• An evening reception hosted by the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce. That event will feature made-in-New York refreshments. All members of the state’s congressional delegation have been invited.

• A legislators' breakfast at which business leaders will interact with members of New York's congressional delegation.

• Briefings by top administration officials and by leaders from the House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate.

• Opportunities for lobbying visits with members of New York State's Congressional delegation.
