State Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security to keynote Homeland Security Council Conference

Governor Eliot Spitzer’s deputy secretary for public safety and homeland security, Michael Balboni, will keynote The Business Council’s Homeland Security Council 2007 Homeland Security Conference Wednesday, January 17, 2007, at the Crowne Plaza in Albany.

Participants will also hear from Brigadier General F. David Sheppard, director of the New York State Office of Homeland Security.

The agenda also includes

  • Remarks by Richard Cooper, a partner with the Washington, D.C. based government relations, law, and public affairs firm, Olive, Edwards and Cooper.

  • A roundtable on Department of Homeland Security science and technology directorate reorganization, led by Mark Camillo, the director of public safety and security for Lockheed Martin Corporation and Robert Gearhart, director of homeland security for Northrop Grumman Corporation.

  • A presentation on New York State grant opportunities with Josh Filler, president of Filler Security Strategies, Inc.; Michael Relyea, executive director of NYSTAR; and Linda Shkreli, with the New York State Office of Homeland Security.
