The Business Council’s Government Affairs Committee (GAC) will hold its 2006 planning session Wednesday, December 14 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Council’s offices in Albany.

Topics addressed at the meeting will include:

• The fiscal and economic health of the state.
  
  
• Increasing concerns with the workers’ compensation program.
  
  
• The soaring costs of buying health insurance and the continued growth of the state's Medicaid system.
  
  
• Renewal of the state’s economic development programs related to energy.
  
  
• The importance of innovation and education to New York’s growth.

Particpants must pre-register for the meeting. There is a $20 registration fee and luncheon is included.
