Council plans business to business homeland-security conference

The Business Council is joining the Empire State Development Corporation in sponsoring a homeland security conference for business Wednesday, June 2, at SUNY Maritime College in the Bronx.

  • A discussion of the impact of cyber-security on physical activity.

  • A discussion of the importance of private-sector efforts to establish cyber-security.

  • A review of practical applications emerging from research and development at New York State universities and colleges.

  • An overview of government procurement procedures.

Cosponsors of the conference include the Office of Public Security, the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Response, the Office of Cyber Security and Critical Infrastructure, NYSTAR, the New York State Association of Counties, and the Association of Towns of the State of New York.
