Council, Workers' Comp Board plan November conference on all aspects of workers' comp

The Business Council is collaborating with the New York State Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) to conduct a conference on all aspects of New York's workers' compensation system Monday, Nov. 24, in Albany.

The goal of the conference is to improve communications among employers who must pay for workers' compensation for all workers, insurers that provide that coverage, and the WCB, which administers all aspects of workers' comp in New York State, said Kerry Kirwan, The Council's specialist in workers' compensation.

Top officials from the Workers' Compensation Board, which administers workers' compensation insurance in New York State, will make several formal presentations designed to give attendees detailed information on the priorities and operations of the WCB, she added.

The session will run from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Turf on Wolf Road.
