The State University of New York Board of Trustees will hold their first annual Town/Gown Conference at 1 p.m. Nov. 28 at the city campus of Erie Community College (ECC) at 121 Ellicott Street in Buffalo.

The conference is intended to let citizens, businesses, and government leaders interact with the college community and SUNY trustees to discuss the impact and role of SUNY campuses on the western New York economy.

The agenda includes a panel discussion on university and community partnerships. Top officials from SUNY, SUNY institutions, and local and state governments have been invited to participate as panelists.

The agenda also will include roundtable discussion on a variety of issues affecting business and universities, including: workforce development needs; educational needs; and the role of colleges in community revitalization.
