The Business Council and the Chamber Alliance of New York State (CANYS) will sponsor their annual "New York Day in Washington" May 23 in Washington, D.C.

The event, which is being coordinated with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's annual "Washington Fly-In" that day, gives business leaders from New York a chance to join issues briefings on key federal issues and to meet and lobby members of Congress and their key staff members.

The agenda for the day will include:

• A legislators' breakfast at which business leaders will interact with members of New York's congressional delegation. The entire delegation has been invited.
  
  
• Briefings by top administration officials and by leaders from the House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate.
  
  
• Opportunities for lobbying visits with members of New York State's Congressional delegation.
