Workers' Compensation Committee

As New York's employers continue to struggle under the growing costs of the Workers' Comp system, The Business Council is uniquely poised to make a significant positive impact to the system. Not only is The Business Council the recognized representative of New York's businesses by the Administration and the Board, through very regular communication, the Legislature has added our participation in the process into law. Given our special relationships and position, The Business Council is in the best position of all state-wide organizations to make strides in reforming New York's Workers' Comp system. Working with members of our workers' comp committee, members of the Legislature, the Administration and the Workers' Comp Board we will continue efforts to Sign up for the Tax Committeereign in the costs of the system in general and to stamp out fraud, waste and abuse. We strive to once again make the system affordable and true to its original purpose of getting injured workers healthy and back to work.
