I Live New York Student Internship Proposal
February 5, 2008
The NYS Department of Labor has issued a request for proposals (RFP) from public or private not-for-profit organizations, such as chambers of commerce, to broker and manage paid internship opportunities. Funded organizations would match students from public or private secondary, post secondary and technical schools with private sector, for profit employers.
A total of $2 million in workforce investment act funds is set aside to fund approximately 20 grants at no more than $100,000 each. Current plans are to award two grants to each of the ten regions, though the Labor Department reserves the right to award one, none or more projects in each region depending on the response to the call for proposals.
Interested parties should submit a Notice of Intent of Bid form available at the link below no later than 5:00 pm, February 22, 2008. (Submission of an intent to bid does not obligate you to submit a proposal.)
More information on the “I Live NY” internship grant proposal can be found here.
Proposals are due by 4 p.m. on March 10, 2008.
