Tourism Industry Coalition (TIC) Day 2018

The Tourism Industry Coalition advocacy day in Albany is tentatively scheduled for March 12, 2018 from 10:30 to 12 noon. Location will be announced. Both Senator Funke and Assemblyman O'Donnell, the Tourism Chairs in the Senate and Assembly respectively, have been invited to address the gathering. The New York State Tourism Industry Coalition, formed in 1987, is comprised of various association and industry–supporting organizations whose main goal is to represent the state’s tourism industry on key legislative and regulatory issues. The Business Council is an active member of the TIC. In the past The Business Council has helped pass legislation such as reform of State Liquor Authority (SLA) laws and regulations, and the passage and implementation of rideshare - issues that have greatly aided tourism throughout New York State. Overall tourism is estimated to be the State’s fourth largest industry, employing 914,000 New Yorkers. The March 2018 meeting of TIC coincides with the Albany meeting of the New York State Tourism Advisory Council. For more information on TIC access: http://www.ticnys.org/
