Travel and Tourism Committee Update
April 12, 2013
To allow fairgrounds to hold exhibitions and entertainment events during the fair's off season.
S.2384 (Little)/A.5360 (Magee).
This bill would allow farmers associations that are organized to lease and maintain the grounds and structures where county fairs are held to also hold other events and exhibits or to store personal property when such property is available. This change in law is necessary as it has become recently burdensome to get the additional approval needed for these additional events from some local governments.
