SMALL
BUSINESS COUNCIL
Staff Contact: Mark Kessler
What is the Small Business Council?
If you are concerned about the state’s business climate and want positive, proactive solutions that will allow our economy to grow and prosper, you should join our Small Business Council.
If you would like to network with other entrepreneurs to help us enhance The Business Council’s member services for small business, you should join our Small Business Council.
You have ideas and hopes for New York State—fueled by the same kind of determination and spirit that launched your business. If you can lend The Business Council some of that entrepreneurial spirit, we need YOU on the Small Business Council.
The Small Business Council is open to all Business Council members, targeted at those who own or work for a business with 50 or fewer employees who participate in regular, outcome-driven meetings accessible via conference call or in person.
What is our mission?
We are working to design, develop, and implement a statewide, web-driven, member-to-member cross marketing platform for The Business Council's small business members.
Our members provide information, insight and direct, voluntary assistance in the creation and delivery of small business activities and services to Business Council members.
The Council offers a small business perspective that will be used to help shape The Business Council's legislative agenda; supply narratives and information that will help to enhance the impact of the Council's legislative efforts; organize and participate in grassroots activities to support Business Council lobbying efforts; and assist in recruitment of new small businesses as Council members to strengthen the small business presence and voice in Albany.
We need your help!
