An Empire Disaster:
New Report Shows How Lawsuit Reforms Would Fix New York’s Economy
Please join the Business Council of New York State, NYLawsuit Reform.org, NFIB and area business leaders for an important forum and discussion about a new report, from a nationally renowned scholar, that exposes the cause and effect of New York’s costly legal system and provides commonsense solutions to fix our economy.
With New York’s economy in a tailspin and the outward migration of people and businesses, the report is a blueprint for lawsuit reform in New York. The report shows how lawsuit reform would attract entrepreneurs; create new jobs; expand the tax base; boost productivity; halt the declining population; and cut insurance costs for all New Yorkers.
The report gives an overview of New York’s broken tort liability system; the direct economic benefits of lawsuit reform; the tactics by the plaintiff’s bar and its well-funded political campaigns; and a plan to fix our costly legal system.
Space is very limited. All Business Council members must register for this special event. Copies of the report will be distributed at the forum.
I also want to know if you or a business colleague has been victimized by lawsuit abuse. Please share your story to help build our case for lawsuit reform in New York State. Contact me directly.
