The Business Council is pleased to partner with Carolyn Bright of the NYS Department of Labor in bringing this briefing to Western New York. Erie 1 BOCES will again host the presentation.
Please join us to hear about the results of the 2011 NYS legislative session in Albany and HR issues that were considered!
A switch in the state Senate leadership last November changed the dynamics of the 2011 session, especially with a new governor facing the state’s financial crisis.
This HR Legislative Briefing will cover last November’s election results, HR-related legislative results from the 2010 session, what issues were new or back for 2011 and some regulatory issues such as the Wage Theft Prevention Act and an update on wage deductions.
You’ll also hear about our stepped-up HR grassroots advocacy efforts around the state for 2011.
Please join us for this information filled session!
