Despite the budget difficulties in the Capital, some HR related legislation saw action during the 2010 legislative session. Join us for the latest update covering mandated sick and other time off proposals, “bullying” legislation, a transportation benefit mandate, electronic employee monitoring restrictions, access to personnel file requirements, unemployment insurance tax base and benefit increases, the status of NYS paid family leave & pay equity proposals, COBRA and mini-COBRA insurance changes including the federal ARRA subsidy, domestic violence victim protections, last year’s state wage reporting requirement, enhanced whistleblower protection action, and more…! You’ll also hear about hot HR issues in Washington from Jim Grasso, a Partner in the Buffalo office of Phillips Lytle LLP.
We’ll also highlight our HR issue advocacy efforts in 2009 and 2010 and plans for the remainder of the year prior to Election Day.
Please join us for this information filled session!
