Paid family/medical leave legislation will again be active in the state Assembly and Senate this legislative session. This legislation was passed by the state Assembly in 2007. This is an election year and strong pushes will be made to enact this legislation which is supported by the Governor and the state AFL-CIO. It is critical that businesses voice their opposition to this proposal and educate their elected officials on the impact of this legislation.
Business Council members attending this meeting will discuss the effect of this legislation on their organizations and make advocacy suggestions to Business Council staff and other member companies, as well as their own advocacy plans.
Soon after registering to attend this meeting, we’ll email information on the current paid family/medical leave proposals and other information.
