Legislative Update as of June 17th
NYISO Hosts Wind Power Workshop
The New York Independent System Operator will host a one-day Wind Power Interconnection Workshop from
9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, June 27 at the New York State Nurses Association in Latham.
Directions to NYSNA
The conference is open to those who have applied - or plan to apply - to build wind power projects in New York State, as well as to developers of other types of projects. Officials from the NYISO will explain the interconnection study process and address all details that pertain to connecting wind generation projects to the power grid.
While there is no charge for this program, you must register by noon, Wednesday, June 22. The workshop will be available online by "listen only" Webex for those who cannot attend in person.

NYSERDA Seeks Proposals
NYSERDA is seeking proposals
to study the feasibility of implementing
Combined Heat & Power (CHP) and renewable
generation in New York State. As
part of determining the feasibility
of implementing a system, successful
applicants may use funds to investigate
the sale or distribution of excess
energy. NYSERDA will cost-share up
to $50,000 of the cost of selected
Technical Assistance Studies performed
by an independent Service Provider.
Applications are due November 30,
2005.
