Proposed Water Quality Standards (WQS) Rule Changes (12/13/06)
- The Department of Environmental Conservation has
proposed a number of amendments to its Part 700 rules
governing water quality standards in the December 13 State
Register. There is a public hearing in Albany on Monday
February 5, and comments on the proposal are due February
14, 2007. DEC's summary of the rulemaking, and the complete
text, are provided in pdf format below. The complete
proposal, including a regulatory impact statement, is
available on-line at: www.dos.state.ny.us/info/register/2006/dec13/pdfs/Rules.pdf (see pp. 7 to 11).
