Demonstration & Discussion on New York State VendRep System

Business Council members provided feedback through the development of vendor contracting system. The system is now “live” and OSC representatives are here to demonstrate the system’s functionality and elicit additional feedback from business on ways to make the system more responsive to business needs. OSC also will be discussing their work with OGS, DOT and other state agencies to move toward an integrated, coordinated contracting system.

Update on the Activities of the Advisory Council on Procurement Lobbying

Mike Nevins, JP Morgan Chase and Business Council member, will provide an update on the work of the Advisory Council, including proposed legislative changes they may be seeking.

State Budget Article VII Bill Discussion

The Public Protection & General Government Article VII bill (S.6086/A.9806) proposes to make permanent the Procurement Stewardship Act, set to expire June 30, 2008. Language proposed would also expand the role of the State Procurement Council and impose fees to recapture the cost of providing centralized contracts.
