The State Senate will continue to host hearings around the State on the Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise Program (MWBE). The hearings are being held jointly by the Senate Committee on Commerce, Economic Development and Small Business (Senator Phil Boyle, Chair) and Senate Committee on Labor (Senator Fred Akshar, Chair).
The Public Hearing calendar is available here. Any Business Council member interested in testifying at the hearings can contact the Senator’s offices listed or Johnny Evers at The Business Council. The full list of locations, dates and times is below. The Business Council will continue to follow this issue and will keep members updated. As of now, the MWBE program continues under the budget bill extending it (Article 15-A of the Executive Law) through December 31, 2019.
