InternShop 101 Exclusively for Colleges

Thursday, August 30, 2018
11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Academic instruction offered together with hands-on workforce experience and on-the-job training could not be more necessary in today’s society. That’s why, at SUNY, every student has access to an applied learning opportunity, and we continue to work with employers to expand InternShop in partnership with The Business Council of New York State.”

About the Webinar

The Business Council is excited to be relaunching InternShop on a new online platform. Join us for the webinar to learn how your institution can connect students to some of the top companies in New York for paid internships. InternShop is an exclusive benefit for members of The Business Council. Don’t miss out!

What is InternShop?

InternShop is a free program that connects students seeking internship opportunities to Business Council members across New York State. We have developed a custom platform with input from the State University of New York (SUNY) and the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities (CICU), which connects students directly with businesses in their field offering paid internships.

How does it work?

Colleges and universities that are members of The Business Council of New York State, Inc. are given a unique registration code that their students will use to apply online at

The students will answer a few questions about themselves, their campus, major and interests and then upload one or more resumes to the site. They can then apply for paid internships posted by Business Council member companies. Students can also sign up to be notified when new internships in their field become available, and read company profiles of posting companies.

How can I get started?

All colleges and universities who are members of The Business Council of New York State, Inc. are eligible to participate and just need their unique registration code to share with students. You can email Liz Mancini to receive your institution’s registration code and verify membership status (all SUNY colleges and universities are members).
