The Employee Paycheck
The NYS Department of Labor recently revised rules that apply to employers who pay employees by direct deposit or pay card. Combine these new rules with existing regulations regarding permissible deductions from wages (uniforms, meals, etc.) and the pay stub requirements of the Wage Theft Prevention Act, and now might be a good time review all employer obligations regarding the employee paycheck.
