Business in Israel

New York State now operates a trade office in Jerusalem and has an active partnership working to promote trade and investment between New York State and Israel.

The New York-Israel Economic Development Partnership, based in Manhattan, offers help and background information on opportunities for collaboration with Israeli companies, and on opportunities for New York companies to do business in Israel.

New York's annual exports to Israel are $2.1 billion, up 60 percent in three years. The partnership says Israel also offers "a user-friendly distribution point for the Middle East."

And it says that Israel also offers New York companies wide-ranging opportunities for collaboration, particularly in high-technology areas.

The New York-Israel Economic Development Partnership works to identify new business opportunities for New York companies, and to facilitate contacts between New York and Israeli companies. In addition to its New York office, it works out of the New York State trade office in Jerusalem that was opened by Governor Pataki in April.
