NYSERDA funds for HVAC equipment

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) has up to $500,000 available to co-fund projects that develop and/or demonstrate advanced heating and cooling technologies for residential and commercial buildings.

Eligible technologies include: self-powered heating systems; high-efficiency pumps and blowers; gas-fired cooling; high-efficiency compressors; commercial refrigeration; modulating and low-emission burners; compact heat exchangers; non-CFC refrigerants; and vending machines.

NYSERDA will make multiple awards of up to $250,000, with awards allowed for no more than half of total project costs. An eight-page preliminary proposal is due in early December. NYSERDA will invite some full proposals, which will be due in late January.
