- October 2007 Human Resource
Line - Question of the Month
Q. As
I begin preparing our 2007 EEO-1
report, I notice some changes to
the race/ethnic reporting categories
and the job categories. What are
they?
A. Recently,
there has been an expansion of
the race/ethnic categories from
five to seven and the job categories
from nine to ten. A new category
of "Two or more races" has been
added plus the "Asian" label has
been separated from the "Asian
and Pacific Islander" listing.
Under job categories, the "Officials
and Managers" class has expanded.
A good Q & A on the changes may
be found at www.eeoc.gov/eeo1/qanda.html
and you should review it before
proceeding.
